The current CEO of the board is Dr. Abubakar Yerima, MBBS, FWACP (Rheumatologist) appointed by His Excellency the Executive Governor Honourable Mai Mala Buni on the 17th November 2023.
The Hospitals Management Board (HMB) is one of the agencies of the Yobe State Ministry of Health and Human Services. It was established under an Edict No. 2, of 1999 Yobe State Gazatte No. 23, of 10th June 1999.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Board is the Executive Secretary Hospitals Management Board.
